Stitch and craft show 2012

Yesterday i had a super duper time at the craft show at Olympia. It was much more than i expected with so many workshops to take part in, loads of beautiful works on display and a chance to meet your favourite stitchy icons. I got to meet Jane Greenoff (designer of the lettering im using on the black rose cottage sampler!) who had a beautiful stall (definately my favourite, closely followed by the crossstitcher stall!) Her work was so beautiful and it was great to get a look at it really close.
The fun continued upstairs with the patchwork area!! I had the greatest fun creating my own patch to go on a jubilee quilt which will be displayed at Alexandra place! Plus i found the inspiration for my own quilt in this gorgeous apple green and pink colours
I will definately be attending the next one !!

On the trial to success...

(September 2010)
How fast the time has gone since we brought Apache Warrior as a 15 month old cob (above). The idea was he would take the pressure off my original gem, Baby. However this has not quite worked out, infact its worked out better....Baby seems to go from strength to strength after recovering from his injury (torn meniscus in left stifle) and we are now keeping fingers crossed he will be able to compete this season. :)

Long leining (March2012)

Anyway back to the Little Pud... Another month and it will be his third birthday and breaking time!! I can not wait...i don't feel any nerves as Warrior has taken everything i've asked of him in his stride. He has grown so much and now looks like the true beautiful gypsy cob he is : D Exciting stuff!!

Burning Love

After being introduced to cross stitch by my nanny at about 12 years old my passion has now firmly re-rooted... I hope that by blogging i can meet like-minded people, find inspiration and keep track of my present and future projects... But first a few catch up posts...

Cath Kidson - Definitely a fan but not a fanatic

Absolutely love the books, the photos and projects, her style is lovely but find the mainstream 'vintage' less desirable. Inspiration to be taken for sure, but wont be the one spending hundreds in her shops.

Auntie Ticket

After my lovely friend decided to start her own baking company i thought a Christmas Cross stitch was defiantely a must for her pressie. Using different images i found on the internet i put this together myself and was very pleased with the final result (and so was she! ) The glittery backing was from Hobbycraft along witht the clip frame
