Tragic

Sooo I've had the most traumatic of weeks. My poor pooch Boo ruptured his cruciate ligament and had surgery to put plates and bolt through to fix his knee. On Tuesday he came home but suffered post traumatic stress and had panic attacks for 36 hours and had to go back into hospital :( he's home now and sedated so much more relaxed - thank god and leg is healing well!! Little time to think of much else .... However here are a few bits I made ...

Still waiting for lots of orders - harry potter sticker book, cute bits from Japan and a new vintage union jack filofax!! Hurry up postman!!

Fandom Filofax

So it maybe week 4 of 2014 but I have only now got my filofax in order!! After designing then struggling to print my new diary pages, then having to wait for inks, it finally ready to use and I'm super excited!! Harry Potter inspired- I have printed some images on the day headers to keep the theme following. I will be getting some HP stickers and doing more doodles too! But I'm pleased with the basic pages.

My tab pages are made from Quibbler front cover. So in love with these! :)

Will post again soon..... Keep geeking :)

Harry Potter patchwork!!

So one of my major projects last year was to complete a Harry Potter themed patchwork blanket/wall hanging. It is made from felt (fabric was way too expensive) and floss ... Oh and sequins and beads! I initially spent some time brain storming ideas with my, also Potter obsessed, hubby. There were soo many favourite moments and quotes and symbols -- it was easy!! ... Then off to the computer to print some inspiration images. Armed with some white tissue paper I traced parts of images I found, attached this to my felt pieces and stitched away ... Simple! Hope you like...

Wedding round the corner....

With my wedding round the corner - crafting has been the name of the game... From invitations, OOS, Table plans, bunting to crossstitch samplers i've been busy busy busy - Less than 3 weeks to go now till it all comes together!! Hopefully!! :)

Our wedding sampler complete
Definately one of the hardest cross stitches ive done....

Mums Victorian Rose finished and framed :)

Above is the result from my 'Intro to embroidery' course at Royal school of needlework Hampton court palace. i had such an amazing time and learn so much, Felt very inspired and have now booked on more day courses. Would definately recommend. :)

Havent updated for ages but ive been a busy bee...

Life got busy so my updates on Stichery didn't happen ... However I've done LOADS of stitching and even enrolled to do an embroidery day course in October (that was the earliest date!) Super excited for that. I've been making my way through my project list and have now complete the wedding guest book sign - here is a sneaky peak of it though the completed version I'm saving till the wedding ---->
I love it as it fits with our Gothic (ish) theme to the wedding. Pattern is from CrossStitcher <3

I couldn't go through the Jubilee without stitching Jan Constantine's crown. I stitched it onto a cheap string top from Primark.

Following a busy year at work our staff development day was kindly changed from e-learning etc to a fun day - for me this entailed a bit of yoga and chocolate rose making - i was pleased with my first attempted though it was rather difficult as the chocolate melts very quickly in hot hands

A new project has been added to my ever growing list - My mums house warming gift - She has definately chosen one of the hardest cross stitches ive done - but hey, im not one to shy away from a challenge - It features this beautiful Victorian rose and ornate designs. The colours are really beautiful and i look forward to posting the finished piece.
